BP50C45 Buzzing sound from transfer motors

We have a BP50C45 machine with over 80,000 prints that is making an intermittent noise during printing. I have isolated the general source of the noise to the back motors during the transfer load simulation. This occurs even when the primary transfer unit is not installed.

Users are still able to print, and the machine is functioning without any error codes or issues.

I was able to capture the noise on video once, but the error seems to be intermittent throughout the day. After replacing the main drive, the machine ran smoothly for about two months. However, I have just received another notice from our user that the sound has returned.

any ideas what might cause this? Thanks in advance

Check the drums...we've had soms noises coming from the drums.

When you put some grease on the back connection, the noise went away...maybe worth a try?

Thank you boutn, it indeed was the drum. I forget the drive motors also operate the drums even when running the transfer belt simulations. It was a long process as the noise was intermittent, but I was able to catch the magenta drum spewing the problem.

      Cheers.
