    Sharp Mx-2310u ADF uncommon paper jam

    Just want an advice before i visit a client which a bit far from our office. They got sudden paper jam on ADF with 120gsm paper in back to back copy or scan only they said that in 80gsm paper they dont encounter such jam in back to back copy or scan and before they can scan and copy without a problem.

    The paper jam occurs when the paper is feeding again for the back page.

    Any heads up are highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    From the service manual

    Duplex: 13 - 28 lb bond (50 - 105 g/m2)

      There is a tech bulliten MFP-TB-1193 that has a new rear top cover, which has the pockets that the hinges slide into. The old ones the hinge pockets break and cause the doc feed to not close all the way. I have seen this cause many jamming problems. If the feeder does not close all the way down the pockets are probably cracked or broken.

        As already stated and taken from service manual:

        Single:
        Thin paper: 9 - 13 lb bond (35 - 49 g/m2)
        Plain paper: 13 - 32 lb bond (50 - 128 g/m2)
        * Thin paper mode (39 pages/minute (A4, 8.5" x
        11", 600 x 400dpi) / 26 pages/minute (A4, 8.5" x
        11", 600 x 600dpi) is set up for the thin paper.
        Duplex: 13 - 28 lb bond (50 - 105 g/m2)
        Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential
