Customer requesting a job, I dont think machine can do- I dont know.

Customer has a 4071 with 4 drawers and external finisher. They have 4 pre printed documents that they would put one in each drawer. They will not be printing or copying onto the docs, but they want the machine to make a set from a document from each drawer and be stapled. Hope I explained it clear enough. I can not think of the steps that might make this happen. Seeing if anyone knows a way to do this? Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't see how the printer would do this automatically for you.

The software being used would need to automatically select a specific tray for each individual form being printed on when it sends the print job. If the software program doesn't have this capability then your customer would have to have one tray loaded with the forms stacked on top of each other in the correct sequential order.

I've seen both these solutions implemented on many occasions. but neither are controlled by the printer itself

So far in job build I can make it copy out a set with one from each drawer like I want, by feeding in blank original, after is scans that press change settings and select next drawer and feed another blank original. Do that for each drawer then press read end. Even if I select staple it does not staple, but they may be ok with manually stapling sets.

Thankyou, I got it to work with the covers and inserts, went to show the customer and was what they wanted.
