I have a Sharp MXC407F (Lexmark XC4140) that will not scan to a network folder. When I test the connection on the MFP it tells me "Invalid Network Folder Address". The scanning was working for 3 months then quit. I have checked all of the shared folder settings and permissions. Even created a new user for scanning and updated firmware. Does anyone know if Microsoft updates change settings in file sharing. Is there something I may be missing. Thanks

Don't quote me but I think it's under programs and features then advanced Windows features and there may be other boxes to check underneath the SMB 1.0 check mark.
I've had to change a lot of them on Kyocera as well as Sharp.Best rule for troubleshooting.

Re: Sharp MX-C407F Network folder scanning issue
Since it was working fine and then just quit, I would assume your path username and passwords are correct. Have you enabled the SMB 1.0? Windows did change some securities which disabled Network scan to folder on many of the sharps so I've been having to go back in and enable that.

One thing i have noticed recently with windows that may cause an issue is in Security - Virus and threat protection - Ransomware protection - Controlled folder access, if this is on, it blocks documents and settings folder and various other folders being written to, have a look into that.Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essentialComment
