    [Jamming] MXFN27N

    Howdy folks,

Not sure about all of you but i have a hate for these internal finishers. Ive never seen the timing issue from the disposition tray but ive had lots of them that roll the paper inside and then jam the works up.

We have a MX4071 that has had it's finisher ripped apart a few times now, new paddles, new belts. It's a 2019 year so most of the mods have been done already by the factory yet it's still doing the Bob Marley.

We ripped the finisher out and swapped it and brought it back to the office so we could see what was going on. This time the first sheet that would enter the compiler would not get sucked back to the kurled belts to be tapped. The following sheets would. We made a slow motion video to see what exactly is happening.

    You can see at:
0:13 the paddles drop down but they hardly touch the paper
0:22 the paddles fully contact the paper and pull it back to the kurled belts
0:25 the paddles remain down and the next sheet hits the paddles

The return clutch assembly has been updated in bulletin CCE-1914 but that was in March 2018. This was replaced and it seems to have resolved the issue.
