Just put this machine in new. Very high volume Dr office. Customer thinks the print is too light. I have the service manual but find no reference to any quality adjustments. Any ideas? Thanks.

these arent known for light copy...... if you darken it up it will eat toner.... High volume you say? why did you sell him this why not a ar 208 with fax kit instead? that way you can get a service contract and make more money.....I fix copiers ...Well SortaComment

This doesn't help answer the original question but ... I had suggested an AR-208 w/fax for a doctor's office that has an SF-2216 as their only copier. The 208 would have been a backup copier as well as in my opinion, a more serviceable fax. I don't think there was much price difference between the 208 w/fax and the FO-DC535. Our salesman ignored my recommendation and sold them a DC535. Now it is still a major emergency when the copier goes down and of course, it is on the other end of the county. The DC-535 has the same short drum life as the models it replaced. I don't know of a way to darken the print. How about paper brightness? Some of the brighter paper makes bad print look better.Comment

have you "interrupted" the print by opening the door and looking at the drum to see if you are getting good transfer?....you can sometimes see if there is good latent image on the drum b4 and after the transfer and narrow down your search.I fix copiers ...Well SortaComment
