Gmail less secure apps DELETION at end of month

So Gmail is going to delete the "less secure apps" in the security tab on May 31. If you're using a Gmail SMTP server you will not be able to scan. All you're going to get is nasty grams from Gmail saying you have a security problem. Has anyone figured out what to do about this or a workaround? TYIA

This is the Way!
Our company has known for a while that "less secure apps" would be going away, and have worked the past couple of months to get all of our customers set up with the app passwords for scanning.
