    MX-3070V with Duplex Jamming

Got a fairly new, low meter (less than 20K total pages) MX-3070V that all of a sudden started jamming in duplex print mode. Based on another post, I decided to swap out the complete side door, and got a good result - zero jams in a 50 page test in contrast to a jam every 3-4 sheets (POD1_NA [last 4 jams] and POD1_N [prior 10 jams] recorded in 22-3). Customer just emailed me that it is still jamming and sent this photo, I have attached and makes no sense to me. Any ideas???

i suspect a fuser entrance issue. There is an adjustable entry plate under the fuser to give more room for paper. A bad pod1 sensor, or your transfer belt may be slipping. I can't quite see what duplex would have to do with this . Those are pod4. appd1, appd2 codes typically.

Yes, you were correct in diagnosing this problem, and thank you! I adjusted the fuser entrance guide plate a bit lower. As a rule, I have needed to lower these fuser entrance guide plates to achieve better performance/fewer jams on machines with upper fuser rollers - not really so far on machines w/ fuser belts. I like to move the guide out of the way temporarily, while I mark the middle of the adjustment markings with my fine tip Sharpie pen. Then at a quick glance you can see where it is adjusted to.
