MX4070n wireless not shownin network settings

Hello, like the title says there is no wireless setting in the network settings. I looked on the brochure and it is supposed to have wireless. I looked at the brochure but I already know it is supposed to be there because I have set these up wireless before. Anyone know of any reason why it may be missing? Thanks for any insight on this.

    Oh that's easy.

Sim 26-50, Item G: Wireless set, to Value 1.

Also, it is possible, that the wireless nic card is scrapped. Some confusing 2022 models comes without WLAN NICs because of chip shortages, and they became ADD ONS, so techs started scrapping them just in case, from clients that don't use wireless.

    Here you go:

Also, check section 11-1 on the engineering manual for the location of the WLAN, it's really easy to get to.

I don't believe this is possible, not at least from what I've seen. The wireless cards that come out the MXxx71 (wireless model) simply plug into the USB board, located to left of op panel. The optional wireless cards, MXEB18, used for MXxx71S (no wireless) have a connector, that the original cards do not have.

I tried to plug a wireless card from a MX4071 to a MX4071S, and the S model did not recognize it was in.

Install manual also shows the connector that is not present on the standard wireless cards

It does work. I stand corrected.

Wireless card from MX4071 into a MX4071S works once 26-50 is done.

Thanks for the update. I've seen two MFP's last year with scrapped wireless LANs, so, I assumed nefarious reasons. I've seen 71's as well without WLAN Nics too though.

The N's, V's and S's got confusing last year, lol.

And they have taken care of that confusion and come up with the completely new naming convention of BP70C31

OK I have taken the usb wireless card from a MX4071 and plugged into my PC.

I sets up as Philips USB wireless adapter for a TV
