    H2-06 Error

    Hey Guys,

I have a Sharp MX407FU1 Fuser that I need to fix. Service Manual Says the TH_US2 Thermistor is the issue.

I cannot find this part number in the parts manual.... Anyone know what it is? It seems to be missing, or I'm blind!

See attached doc (first page is parts guide and second page is the thermistor I'm after). thanks

Looks like RDTCT0250FCZZ to me. Item #24 of Fusing Unit 3, page 151 of PG 07A.

TH_US2 is a side contact thermistor. This reads the temperature on the edge of the fuser belt.
Any damage on the fuser belt, which normally starts on the edges if there's been any belt meandering/side movement, and the thermistor can no longer properly detect a stable temperature. Check the edges of the belt first.
After boot-up, check 44-14 to see the temperature for TH_US2 (usually shown as TH_US). Check 22-43 History2 for values of any sudden temperature changes.
It's rare for these contact thermistors to fail, unless they've been damaged or the fuser belt edge is damaged. Could also be a small piece of paper which has passed under the separation plate and become caught between the fuser belt and thermistor. Also check PCU board harness CN3 is installed correctly.

Thanks for the quick response guys. I have already swapped the fuser onsite so I know it is the fuser that is the issue. I'll do a visual inspection on the belt and sensor and see if the belt has meandered or the sensor is dirty.

I'll let everyone know what I discover

There was an issue the the belt meandering there is a new belt unit MX-600FB the belt is a different shape so it comes with the input guide and cleaner blade that should be replaced your sensor maybe fine unless the belt damaged it when it meandered across and folded.
