    MX-2610N fold multiple pages

I have MX-2610N with saddle stich finisher. I'd like to print document containing n pages and fold it.

For some reason I'm failing this seemingly simple task. Is it possible at all? What I'm missing here?

I'm using macOS Big Sur and newest drivers.

Have you told the Mac driver that the machine specifically has the MX-FN10 saddle stitch finisher?
If yes, your saddle stitch options should be under the Finishing section of the dropdown menu when you go to print something.
Or are you looking to fold without stapling? I'm not sure if this finisher does that, and I don't have one in the shop or in the field to test it. We never sold a saddle stitch finisher with this series, only ever the internal finisher or just an exit tray.

Yes, I have told driver that I have MX-FN10 installed. I can print and fold document containing just one page and also document containing multiple pages but it folds every page separately.

I'd like to get all pages folded at one time because this way whole stack would be super easy to put into envelope and this would save a lot of work for me.

You can fold 1 page without stapling but you cannot fold multuiple pages together without stapling. Pretty sure it can't be done.

I don't have one to test, but if you use the pamphlet mode and then tell it not to staple it may work.

You can fold multiple sheets together without stapling, just choose half fold, no staple.

Original post state this: "I'd like to print document containing n pages and fold it"
Are you using the N-Up feature? This feature will play all sorts of hell when the driver tries to "paginate" the job for booklet or pamphlet layouts.

You could also print the sheets out then run the job as a copy job, folded and staple/no staple.
Being a Mac, it could also be a Mac issue

Also, be aware that by default, when choosing booklet, the size is doubled automatically. if the print file is LT size, it will automatically set it to LD size unless you tell it otherwise

Using a MX-6240N and sending a 4 page document. Under Special Modes I selected Fold, Saddle Fold. This prsint out 4 pages individually folded, not together as one. If I select Saddle Fold it puts all 4 together but adds two staples to the bind. No other options were selected in the Main tab.

Maybe the driver for a machine with a FN10 is different?

Could be I misunderstood what the original post was asking to accomplish. I thought he wanted to fold mulitple pages at once, together without saddle staples.

That may well be as this is a first gen engine and by far Sharp worst Saddle Stitch finisher. Hated taking calls on FN-10's.

We had a cabinet dedicated to just FN10 parts. There were several "new style" parts over time and eventually we made rebuild kits that had all the newest parts. We would pull troubled finishers from the field and update them with the newst parts.

Absolutely no way the MXFN10 will half-fold a set without a staple.
It'll single sheet half-fold for the set, or create a saddle stitch booklet half-fold with staple, but no way of compiling a non-stapled half-folded set in the saddle unit.
The staple needs to be there to ensure the folded pages eject as a booklet and not skew all over the place.
                    A good question though.

That "drive" assembly that linked the corner and saddle stapler togethers....total pain in the ass.
Whole thing held together with bushings and plastic e-clips, oof!
