IR2800 printing issue

    IR2800 printing issue

    I just installed a print broard in an ir2800 along with the boot rom. get device status works when i print test machine fires up but does not print no page comes out. do i need to upgrade system software on 2880?

        Yes you need to upgrade system software. I'm surprised there's not an error coming up if you installed a NIC (Network Interface Card) on an IR2800.

        Installing N system software enables support for printing on the IR2800. Make sure you select ALL (for all firmware, SST will work out what is necessary for your machine, I think) and Overwrite to make sure that existing firmware is overwritten. For the IR2800, if using a new NIC you need to use at least System Version 41.01, BOOT-ROM ver 23.40N. The latest versions are 45.01 and 26.44N respectively for the IR2800.

        If you haven't upgraded the firmware PS and PCL drivers won't be installed.

        Do you mean IR2800 or 2880? There is a difference. They take different system software.

          2800 has been resolved flashed machine with new firmware all works now thanks
