    MX-M654N dead

Title says it all. Machine is in a school. According to teachers, it was working until it wasn't. Just sits there with green main power light blinking on and off. Turning main switch off, unplugging from outlet, turning main switch on and off then plugging back into outlet and powering up did nothing. Tried different Sd card out of identical machine with no result. When main power switch is thrown can't hear any relays clicking like you normally hear on 620/753 series before secondary power switch is turned on. Thinking bad power supply or possibly bad HDD. Anyone seen this issue?

As strange as it may sound, my first step with "dead" Sharps is to pull the cover off the back of the ADF and look for paperclips & staples. I've lost count of the number of times I've found a paperclip shorting out that board and preventing the machine from even attempting to boot, but surprisingly never permanently damaging it.

We have also found semi-dead Sharps with a paperclip laying on the ADF pwb. They sit there with the green main power light blinking on and off.
