Sharp mx-c300w prints but won't copy or scan. When trying to copy or scan it prints out a page with random lines.

Does the scanner move? Does it happen through the ADF and off of the glass?

Yes the scanner moves, light comes on and yes it happens through the ADF.

Possibly the ccd went bad. Reseat the connections on the ccd and scanner boards first to see if it does anything. One of them may need replacement.

i've had to replace the ccd assembly on this model/series before for the same problem. Checking the connections is a good idea, but I think you need to replace the ccd. It might be time for them to get a new machine. That model is pretty old.

They are out of stock at PR and at Sharp. 19 are expected to arrive at Sharp on 9/20 but they could all be spoken for.
