Hello, I am seeing if anyone else has seen this. This machine is fresh out of the box. Each color has lines going all the way across the page. All through the void edges. Each drum has a line worn across the drum where it looks like the charge roller wore a thin line into drum in shipping. When I press the charge roller release it looks like only the front of the roller dropps down and the rear stays in contact with the drum.Like I said. I am just wondering if anyone else has seen this?

Re: Lines on out of box BP50c45
Have not seen this model yet, but being fresh out of the box, I'd be on the phone with Sharp/Vendor asap, of course. Was it stored box in a high humidity environment or anything? Very odd that all 4 drum units were affected like that.Best rule for troubleshooting.

Yes we are on phone with sharp. It actually came from sharp direct and we are supposed to set up and install. This new models have charge rollers instead of coronas. It looks like where the charge rollers contacted the drums during shipping damaged the drums. The lines on the drums are barely visable, but when I line it up to the line on the copy and then rotate the drum the line on drum matches with the next line on copy. All 4 drums are the same.Comment

Re: Lines on out of box BP50c45
If it's a brand new machine that arrived in the box, it should have had a red tab on the Waste Toner collector. The purpose of this the red tab, is that it prevents the "slidey" mechanism from going into the lock position. This in turn prevents the charge rollers being pushed into the engaged position. Now assuming the charge rollers were disengaged when leaving the factory, this shouldn't have happened.Comment

Hi
had it with 4 BP-70C45, all with the same error. The transport lock for the transfer belt was attached incorrectly. Sharp Germany has been informed and forwarded to the factory. The stripes are on the drums and also on the transfer belt (4 stripes). Carefully cleaned with alcohol and the error is gone. But annoying, they are new devices....Comment
