Hi there I would like to know if this security kit can be removed from this machine?

I sent a MFP-SCN PWB off to a board repair company and it was found to have corrupt DSK somewhere.
They reset everything back to a non-DSK.
I used Hytec in the states, maybe you have a place in Joburg that can help.

Not sure but you you need to take a look at the FR51U install guide to reverse the install steps. You would need the program ROM that was removed and install it bak into the slot. You would then need to remove the program ROM that came witht he kit which is installed in a different location. From there you could "try" and see if non-DSK firmware can be re-installed.

We tried to remove DSK from much older machines but I honestly can't remember if it was successful.

Thanks I know with older machine you just take the option rom out then set the dip switch to boot from sd card and install the original firmware in recovery mode and it works but this machine is different.

I work for a small dealer one of our customers has this machine now we are trying to get it to work with Papercut but we are battling Papercut tech support seems to think the security kit is the problem. thanks i will keep trying.
