    FN27 close front cover message

    Hello,

    We have a MX6071 with a FN27 (internal finisher). We keep getting the message "close the finisher front cover", even though the cover is closed. I have tried swapping the cable that should sense that the cover is closed, but no succes.

    Does anyone had this problem before?

      Have you verified that you are getting 24VDC at the switch? If missing you would get that message.

          Go into Finisher Sensor Tests in Sim 3.
          Look for FNMSW1 and see if it actuates high/low when you open/close the front door. Issue will be broken sensor shutter on front door, or sensor inside the front cover.

              What I have found is just under the door cover is a metal spring plate that gets bent then it will show the door open when it is not.
