I haven't yet found in the Sharp literature that addresses this. We recently looked at an mx-3610 that seemed to have hang up and boot problems. We had an aries sd card, & when I installed it, the screen for an emergency update came up. It didn't even have the six boxes that is normally seen, though you could blindly select them. I tried the procedure but it kept saying data error. I returned the original sd card and the machine came up. Fortunately the latest firmware seemed to put things in order.
When I got back to the office, I returned the card to the machine I got it from and booted correctly. Decided to test other aries cards which worked, but one we got from a 3110 came up with the same screen. It had all the boxes however. Same problem getting a data error when we tried the procedure.
I wondered if anyone else experienced this. What could I be doing wrong ? I thought cards from the same series would all work. Hopefully something will turn up with more research. Just wanted to know for future reference. Thank you.
