Hello all. Not sure if this is even a fixable issue. When customer sends a print job, ( multiple sets, double sided, stapled, color OR blank and white), the device starts up and runs at good speed. After a time, it will "pause". All accessories stop, yet the engine continues like it is adjusting itself. After a time, ( 15 seconds, even up to 30 seconds), the device starts up again and continues. Depending on the size of the job, it will repeat this until finished.
There seems to be no set interval between pauses. It will start happening as little as 5 sets of x pages/originals.
I have tried to isolate this by troubleshooting some..
I have used my laptop and bypassed from their network to print with an ethernet cable. I have seen it do this on Copy jobs with same parameters.
I have reformatted the HDD, it reports OK.
Customer states it didn't use to do this.. perhaps.. but it does seem like something is being "waited on"..
Sharp Service says it is most likely still receiving data while printing. Ok, so why does a copy job do the same behavior?
Has anyone experienced this?
Before I start replacing parts, I look to you guys for advice.
