    LCT13N On MX-7580

    Hello,
I have an error with MX-LCT13N on MX-7580 which states

"Open the front cover of the Large capacity tray in use and check guides"
Error will stay on whether both trays are open, closed or emptied out.
When you run a sim to print out something like 22-6, it will display another error on the left side below the display panel "door open".
Everything thing seems fine and all doors respond when opened/closed on the display when machine is in standby mode.
This only happens when Large LCT13N is connected. The machine will work fine when the LCT is bypassed by not powering it on.

    Thank uou

Check the sensor at the rear of the latching mechanism. If that sensor is not met, you will get this message.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

You need to make sure the screw connecting the MXRB14 to the MXLC13N is loose, not tightened.
If this screw is tightened, the locking mechanism does not move full distance and causes the lever to not engage the sensor. The engine detects the MXLC13N as installed but not connected correctly.

Loosen this screw, push the MXLC13N into the MXRB14 and you'll hear it properly click.
Tighten the screw to separate the units.

      Reverse common sense!

Also, check that the MXLC13N is sitting level. When there's 5000 sheets in these trays, it weighs alot and can lean away from the MXRB14 unit. Ensure the adjustment feet & floor cups are installed properly and the Trays don't lean away when fully loaded.
