We have seen a number of this generation sucking the developer out. On all colours, on high and low volume machines.
Has anyone seen similar/ have a theory?
we currently have a MX6071 sucking out the black developer. we have replaced the sensor on the developer unit, didn't help. We just put a brand-new drum unit in and hope that that will solve the issue. it is in a school, and they are out for the winter break so won't know until next year sometime. we have put 3 black developers in it so far. I hope someone else has some ideas.
I would check for any trouble errors in sim 22-6 . The problem with coronas, seals, drums
are always a concern on all sharps. I test the discharge lamps , they have been known
to be intermittent. All calibrations must be done correctly.
Had this a few times when the charge is contaminated and arcs out - no charge on the drum surface which can empty the dev into the waste box in a couple of minutes. Poking a mag driver into the waste box will confirm this
The cause of this is your LED lamp for the erase are blocked with toner, reach in behind the drums and make sure they are clean. I hope this will help.
