sharp mx-m3550 not coming out of energy save mode

Hi everyone,

I have a sharp mx-m3550 that when it goes to sleep mode, the customer can't wake it up. They have to unplug the machine,wait 15 seconds plug it back in and wait for it to reboot.

sometimes , they need to open the paper tray and close it to print the copies.

Customer also said, when placing copies on the glass to scan or make a copy it will take a very long time to print, not print at all, need to open the paper tray or be unplugged. What could cause this on a MX-m3550?

we had something like that that was because of the msata card was bad. Mainly because the customer was just unplugging it anytime he had a problem. Make sure they use the proper procedure to turn off all the time.

Sounds alot like the energy save settings are set to Low Power Mode.
Change this to Fast Wake Up.
Low Power Mode, depending on the Firmware Version installed, can be a pain as the MFP Board completely disconnects from the network and shuts down. Any incoming network prints are not recognized as the network port is dead, and any touch on the operation panel is ignored.
Fast Wake Up mode will still enable Sleep Mode to work when required, but it will not shut off the network controller or MFP Board. No further need to disconnect/reconnect power to the device.
