    MX-M904

So I'm having a few problems with a sharp mx-m904 that we have in a local print shop. the printer started off with a l4-39 code then went to a l4-38, l4-48 and now its showing a l4-55 code. all these error codes pertain to the fans in the machine. as of today the machine shows only l4-39 and l4-55 we replaced all the fans except the l4-55 error code(fan) i have gone over this machine from top to bottom and cant find what is causing these codes to keep coming back.

you can turn the machine off and back on again, in which the codes go away, but once you print the codes come back. we get about 1 to 2 pages out of the machine before it errors out, any ideas????? I'm at a loss..

These fans failing can be caused by damage to one of the Transport Drawer Connectors, the large black connectors on the back of the inside frame and the matching connectors on the back of the pull-out transport drawer (Fuser, Transfer & ADU).

Check PCU Board Harness CN8 is connected properly. This harness is directly connected to the Drawer Connectors and includes the fan circuits.

Also, due to a production change in July 2012, earlier models did not have CFM-Tr, CFM-CL2-4 process cooling fans installed (L4-51 and L4-55) therefore, the detection may be enabled after new firmware is installed. If CFM-Tr & CFM-CL24 process cooling fans are not installed, change 55-01, SSW 21-4 from 0 to 1 to disable detection of fans which are not even there.
