MX-C357F pulling multiple sheets from standard tray

Has anyone found a way to stop double feeding from standard paper cassette other than telling the customer to fan paper? There is no double feed prevention on this model other than gravity.

Looking for someone who has tried to modify it some way on this Sharpmark

These actually do have a double feed prevention, kind of negligible but they are there. There is a small black guide at the front of the paper tray that gets replaced with the feed rollers it has some very small rubber (I think) blobs on the guide. Try cleaning these. How many copies? This guide should be replaced every 200K, it comes with the fuser kit.

New, out of the box, when she first complained it had 3k prints.
