After a Sharp Service Engineer (MX-2640)

    Hi All,

I have just purchased a second hand MX-2640 & FN10, and will be needing a service engineer that I can call on when needed - not after freebies, I run a business, so willing to pay parts & labour.

I am based in East Suffolk (don't want to give out exact address openly)

Who's about and able to help

    Cheers,
    Richard.

It would probably be best to do a Google search for Sharp service providers in your area and call them, if you haven't already

I have done a search, and got prices from a local guy, but with all things, want to get a few prices to make sure that not being ripped off. (I have a feeling he gave me high prices as I didn't buy a copier from him lol).

      Richard.

Word of advice, ask for Sharp Bronze/ Silver/ or Gold certs. I can't tell you how many times I have visited a new client, the service technician did some "repairs" and the solution was a simple free firmware update, which they would have known... if they were certified... and had access to service bulletins.

And let me tell you, those bulletins scare me sometimes.
"Oh it's jamming at random because it's a PDF file"-Solution: Firmware update.
"Fu$er error code because... you turned on the machine, while the machine was sleeping..." -Solution? Firmware update.
"Oh, your files will come out like Picasso and Monet and print in mosaic format because reasons..." -Solution? Firmware update.
"Is your machine jamming, randomly from this tray?" -Solution? Firmware update.

Get certified, trust me, it will save you money in terms of labor time.

Earlier today (23rd Feb) I had an engineer in from Sharp UK to give the machine the once over.

Only one item they recommend changing, so more than happy. And hopefully will be able to the copier on contract shortly
