I've done exactly that recently! Replaced the set, Photosensor, Spring, and Actuator.

Be careful with the springs. There was an update about wrong size springs being issued, and there is an adjustment on that spring being smaller now for that APPD2.

Make sure you have the latest parts manual from Service America.

Clean the sensor eye with damp duster, clean the resist rollers, check if the sensor actuator is not disturbed by any debris, clean the paper feed wheels, is your paper up to the right gram age?

had this same issue on a few of these machines, what ended up fixing was replacing the delivery harness part number DHAI-6227FCPZ

The new part# is DHAI-6227FCP1 and they are On Allocation with Sharp. When items are On Allocation I think it means they are in high demand and each order has to be cleared by the regional rep. For a part to be On Allocation I would say there is a problem.

Confirming that replacing this harness eliminated APPD2_N jamming. We replaced it on a MX-M6570 on 8/9/2023 and it hasn't registered that jam again.
