    BP-60C45 jam printing labels

    Hello Guys,

I have a customer who prints labels. About 50 sheets per day.

I gave istruction to print labels (A4 sheets) only from bypass and set paper type to "labels".

Lately every day is a jam. Label sheet rolls up in PS unit and sometimes a label goes to transfer belt.

For me is a nightmare, I have to go to customer and clean the printer every time.

I've already replace PS unit but nothing change.

What can I do? I came from Kyocera world so these are one of the first Sharp in the field.

    Thank you in advance,
    Kyove

I hope you checked that those labels were for copiers, not inkjet and labels were not old? I'd test printing labels on heavy paper to see if it jams.

Most customers have printers also and we recommend that they print labels in a printer due to all the damage they can cause in a copier.

make sure they are using landscape orientation, not portrait.

Assuming 50 sheets of 10 labels per day = 500 labels per day or 12,500 labels per month.

They should have a dedicated plain paper label printer using printer ribbons. Such a device is likely less expensive per label to operate especially if the labels are 100% black.

if the labels are actually one single sheet sized at 8.5" x11" then I'd recommend a lexmark MS725dvn printer.

If they are smaller then get a proper zebra type thermal transfer printer in there!

You're asking for trouble running labels at volume through a copier!
