    BP-55C26 printer driver policy setting

    Hello,

I'm a bit in a struggle. Within the "dedicated" printer driver of a BP-55C26 (or other models) you can set a "policy" options on the configurations tab. An option that i want to use is "documentarchiving". Now comes the problem. How can i use pincode now when using "documentarchiving"?

See image what i am missing.

    Regards,

Make sure that Printer Properties > Configuration > Printing Policy > Document Filing, is set to OFF (unticked)

Do you want Print Release instead?

With Print Release, you can set all print jobs to be stored, and link them to the user accounts. All this can be done on the copier itself, without changing the driver, and be forced for all users.

The customer wants to use pincode printing. They also want it to be the default setting in the printer driver (so far so good). Now they want the user to only print with pincode, so if the user would uncheck the pincode options within the driver the printer should not do anything. As i have been digging into it i think this is not possible. Unless there is a secret option for this.

If you go to User Control > Default Settings > and tick Disabling of Printing by Invalid User

Now only print jobs with a user code can print.

The printer driver will need to have the pin code entered, or turn on Printing Policy > User Authentication, for a popup to appear allowing the user to enter the pin code every time they print.
