Print from Android to Sahrp MXC507F

Hi all,
Customers asking to print from their cells to MXC507F. We have a couple in the shop, printing is ok from Linux, Windows, but not from our android cells. Tried with Sharp print service, Lexmark print service, Mopria print service . We did not ask our Sharp rep, they are rather useless these days...Anybody tried?

I just installed the Sharp Print Service Plugin app on my Samsung S22 and was able to print to a MX-C407F. I had to manually add the MX-C407F by IP address to my phone first.

For some reason it works with mxc407f , but not on the last 3 of our mxc507f. Also , I noticed that after the last firmware update. (081.215 to 081.234), the same usb flash drives that were used for updating would not work anymore...I got to check if its doing the same with the mxc407f...

The firmware level of the MX-C407F I printed to is at CXTAT.221.204

Ha I to 221.204 , still no go.....Sharp print service plugin sends print job, the comes out with "printing error" "check network connection or printer state".Printing still ok from my linux laptop.

Hi, you can use sharpdesk mobile to print from android phone. Ad long as the cellphone is on the same network as the printer. Please see link to the app on the playstore

Thanx, making some headway here. Printer is found, I get a warning that " this printer may not be compatible" but it prints. Have to add it manually, by IP. Now I have to find why usb ports are not working anymore...

I would try an Out of Service Erase and start fresh. It amazes me what this can fix.

Good point. Did that allready after each firmware that I tried, just to be sure. Now, the print service plugin that works best is the Samsung one. Only drawback is that it default the paper size back to A4 .

Ok, thanks. I forgot that model range is actually a Lexmark machine, so all the Sharp functionality will not work
