    U2-74 on MX2651

    Any idea how to fix U2-74 on an MX-2651 and related models?

    We have a lot of machines throwing this error for some reason.

    Manual says to update FW...but obviously this has already been done.

    Any other suggestions?

      Hi

      Error U2-74 indicates a problem with firmware recovery and can be reset by the operator by acknowledging (OK) the error display.

      On devices that are not switched off overnight, the device firmware is checked at 3:00 a.m. If a change in the firmware is detected during this check, the original firmware is restored. This is a security function that prevents manipulation of the device firmware. This function can be activated/deactivated in the security settings of the device.

              This issue is related to the MFP board 100%

              We had to send back to Japan all CR4.5 MFP boards for repair and they returned them once fixed.

              We sent back over 40 boards, they repaired most of them and sent them back to redistribute back to Sharp Direct and Sharp Dealers.

              Had something to do with some of the flash memory chips on the MFP board.

                  You got these repairs for free? And who are they?
