    MX7000 with L4-42 error code

I have a MX7000 that was getting constant Jams on several sensors. We changed the PCU PWB, P/N: CPWBX1700FCE38 and right away got the L4-42 error code. Did the firmware update and still have the code. The code means that there is a lock with ozone fan #3 but the fan is running in regular mode and in simulation 6. Any ideas please help.

    Thanks!

Check on CN6 to make sure there are no bent pins from connecting it back up again to the new board, then if all is OK, look at CN6 pin 28 (this is the lock detection signal if it is high) the singal should be a low. Ozone fan 3 has 4 connections to it. they go to CN6 at pins 22, 26, and 28. the 4th one goes to CN19 pin 16 according to the diagram. Pin 22 is the fan drive, pin 26 is the ground, pin 28 is lock detection and 19-16 is the RPM control.

    hope this helps a little

      Very curious on something......

Why did you not upgrade the firmware first before changing PCU pwb?
Surely you must know that always newer firmware resolves many issues (including jam issues/timing etc). What were the jam codes? It would be a rare case that the PCU pwb would cause all of the jamming problems anyway. I work on C-Dragons everyday, am yet to see a problem PCU pwb to cause alot of different jamming. Sure, maybe to one wiring loom possibly, but still, it would be rare.

Otherwise, I totally agree with Gascitykid. You must have bent a pin on the PCU pwb.
