I think you will find that relates to the foam toner roll in the dev tank needing replacement. It will be adding too much toner.

He is correct. The foam toner roller in the toner hopper may be worn. You should see an obvious wear mark at the end of the roller. You will want to replace the developer when you replace the toner roller. There is a bulletin on the issue.
