    AR-286 will not start

    Hello all
I have been out of copiers for a few years. I m trained on older Canons, Minoltas and Savins. I now work at a company that designs vending interfaces for all makes and models. We have a Sharp AR-286 that was working fine yesterday. This morning when I turned it on it never went past the boot screen. It just sits there with the animated Sharp logo just spinning. The display never comes active and all I hear are fans. Anyone have any thoughts.

Im not a copier tech, but when a similar situation happens on a printer, it's usually caused by bad memory. In you case it may be the memory of if the copier has a hard drive, that may be the problem.

Check the HD with sim 62-3 if this comes up NG, try reformating with 63-1. If this does not work, replace.
