    Sharp AR-BC320: Output was canceled?

We are getting a error printout that "output was canceled because output device is disabled by key operator programs" when we try to print. This only happens for a few users in our office. See attached sample error printout. Any ideas?

Hit custom settings - Key operators - Device Control

My guess is some body has gone in and shut down functions in Device control. Maybe something like stapling or duplex. Check in those menus and see if any thing is unchecked.

This solved it! For some reason the finisher was disabled. I don't think anyone would have purposely disabled it though. We were having issues with the transfer belt unit and the fuser. Those were repaired. Could the unit have disabled the finisher automatically when it sensed a problem?

When the machine shuts things down it usually hacks up a error code.

Just out of curiosity, are you a tech or a customer?

Technically a customer but the in-house go-to guy that solves tech problems with equipment, networks, servers, workstations and anything else that goes wrong... among other things. I'd be writing all day describing why we have issues getting service on this machine so I won't bother.
