Ar 156 / al 2040cs

I went out to service a Sharp AL 2040CS. The drum unit had a problem and I told customer if cleaning did not solve the proble (light streak down middle) the unit would need replacing. I notice that the drum is available for the AR 156. Will that drum work in the AL 2040CS??? Both drum units look the same to me.

The Drum Units may be different but the drum itself should be the same. I use AL drums (drums only) on AR-153/157/168. Works OK.

both are the same whether its generic or original brand for AR-153 or AL-series models.
