Mx-5500n code f3-42 paper tray trouble

Hello all I have the same machine. It always shows code f3-42 paper tray desk trouble, although it works just fine. I am wondering if there is a way to make the warning not come up or any sort of easy fix?
    Thanks!!!

tray 4 lift trouble, If you are the end user you can open the tray and make sure the paper is loaded correctly, (pages could be doubled over), if you are their tech I'd start with the tray lift motor, (the shaft could be twisted and not allowing the coupler move freely) or the pwb on the frame side of the tray could be damaged, or the paper stack height sensor could be broken. Ive never seen the pwb break on the lower trays just the tandem trays, but it could happen.
Where the heck is my spring hook?

      Amen Brother.
Listen to Nachoman...... he's always right.

Just take tray 3 & 4 out of the machine, compare the Paper Empty sensor arm on each tray. You should see the small black piece hanging down near the PF roller. If this is broken off on your tray 4, the lift motor will not get the signal to stop lifting the tray. That can lead to the lift motor shaft twisting. The 2 bottom trays look exactly the same in the PF area. You should easily see if anything is broken or not quite right.
Real easy to get to the lift motors on the C-Dragon's. Just take the lower back cover off and they are all right there. Check it as well.
Nachoman is right about the tray PWB. Those dont go bad, but its possible. That would only give an incorrect paper size when the tray is fitted.
