If your reds are printing as orange, first thing I think of is your devs are gone. Very common on the C-Dragons that nice, bright reds become an orange colour once the color devs are well past due.
You said you've done full PM. Does that include the dev as well? If the overall print quality is a little washed out and solid colors are starting to appear faint or lighter than normal, its's usually the color devs.
Also check the condition of both transfer belts, by actually removing them and looking at everything. Have a look at system settings and make sure print density settings are defaults, toner save modes not activated.
Print sim 64-01 & 64-05 and check internal PCL color test pages. You will see any quality issues on these pages and you will easily see what is causing the problem.
New firmware for C-Dragons too not long ago. Make sure it is the latest.
Any chance of scanning and posting a sample page here? -

Yes, your firmware is current and you have done everything right consumable-wise (even possibly gone over-board by using new dev units too).
I know you have color calibrated the machine, but have you done a factory reset and calibration jig adjust?
If you are still getting colors not right, reset your targets by using sim 63-08 and 67-28 for engine and printer, then start over again using 46-24 & 67-24.
If you have the ID sensor calibration jig (UKOG-0318FCZZ), run 43-13 using it in place.
Using these procedures, you are setting up new targets and resetting the calibration sensor. You will be likely to get better colors from your new calibration.Comment

By the sounds of it, there is nothing wrong with your machine.
You do realise that colour copies on a 1bit, 600dpi scanner will never look as close to the good quality originals. What you are experiencing is normal. It is the same on the smaller Pastel & C-Jupiter machines.
The only other adjustments I can think of are the sim 63-03 scanner gamma setup, but you will need the SIT chart to perform this.
You could adjust sim 46 settings for copy image density. This will only be a trial & error sort of exercise, depending on your machine and the originals used.
Otherwise, just use the Auto Exposure modes. Try another mode other than AE.
If your customer is demanding that the color copy be exactly the same as the color print.... you have to explain this will never happen. You can get close..... but never exactly the same.Comment

This machine is performing to specification.
And, yes, you have a very lazy customer. If they cannot be told or clearly intructed on how to use the machines features, they are hardly worth your trouble. I genuinely hate clients like that. I actually stand over them (i'm very tall), and let them know the machine is performing to spec and even offer to take their file/document back to the workshop or showroom and copy/print it on another machine, just for their reference.
There is no other service adjustment for the machine. You have done all maintenance items and we've been through all service adjustments.
Being a 1bit scanner, only giving 2 shades of each color or something like that, will never give anywhere near exact reproduction of your original colors. That is it, enough said.
You just gotta be tough and stand your ground on this if they get upset about it. It is the machine's specification.Comment
