Should you really be working on a machine that you dont know? You are asking for too much.

If you are not sure how to clear the maintenance counter (have you even performed the maintenance anyways), then you have little chance of upgrading firmware successfully afterwards.

I'd love to help, but you should probably be asking Paul @ Manuals. You clearly are out of your depth on this one mate.

Sorry.... thats just how I see it. Happy to help a tech who has actually tried himself first.

    Ho Ho Ho.... merry christmas!

Why should anyone give you the firmware? What help do you offer others here?

Enter simulation with "#", "*", "C", "*". Input 24, press start, sub code 4 and follow the prompts.

This is not an error code but a message saying that maintenance is required. The machine will still function if you don't clear it (normally, sometime it will stop print functions depending on how the machine is set up). Sorry I do not have the firmware for this unit.

          Good luck.

Firmware is HIGHLY recommended to be installed whenever there is an upgrade released. Why do you think manufacturers release firmware upgrades?? If you have a look at the firmware version release notes of what is actually added/removed/fixed/modified/adjusted in a particular version, you will see great benefit in performing the upgrades. There is often alot of changes made from feedback from us techs or international issues repaired before the problem gets elsewhere.
Most upgrades only take a few minutes, and I do mine on every single call if required, while either writing up paperwork, going back to the car for more parts or while working on the machine. I suppose it is easy when it is USB key based on the newer machines. Thats a big help!

Its too easy and should be done. I am proably one of the biggest supporters of new firmware and installing it immediately.
