    MX2700 display contrast

    hey all
have been working on an mx 2700 and after a service the display is VERY light, almost unreadable and im unable to darken the contrast using the custom settings. have looked at connections and they are all fine. time for a new display or is there anything else i can try?

    regards

Did this just happen all of a sudden?

I've seen a faulty LVDS board in the op panel cause a 'flickering' backlight before several times.

If you cannot increase/decrease display contrast in system settings, first power off/on the machine, then maybe check the Op Panel boards and cables. After that, order the LVDS board.

yeah the lcd was working fine and then just went really light, i have noticed when you turn the machine on it will display the start up screen in normal contrast for about half a second then revert back to the faded state. will order the new board, thanks for your advice
