PS or Postscript if the best for PDF files but it costs additional to get the ARPK1N(?) so I have used the PCL6 driver for the most part. Have had some issues depending on the version of Adobe Reader that the user has.

    Hope this is helpful.

Keep in mind that while PCL may (or may not) print office documents a bit faster, a PDF file is already a PostScript file, with a little more info.

Because a PDF is "print ready", it normally processes much faster using PostScript. That's why most PostScript printers allow you to send a PDF file directly to them, without using a driver.

LPR with a Que name of lp (lower case). If you have Vista or Windows 7 the Sharp drivers are included in the OS.

I just checked on the IDNC service website and it does not show any specific drivers for Windows 7, yet. If you go into the installed print drivers in the operating system when you go to install the copier itself there should be a Sharp default driver there. At least there is one in Vista so I am assuming there will be one in 7 as well.

                  Good luck.
