brand new machine seems to generate every few minutes.Changed preheat mode and enegry save mode.just dont know why it does it.Any help out there?

There was a post on C311 fuser keeps running a page or so back, these models do the same symptom that if the fuser falls below 18 deg. C the fuser will fire up for a few moments. Our 503 demo machine was doing the same thing. (Cold front office)Where the heck is my spring hook? -

well it did it at set up to.In our office.Which the heat is on.Its just weird.and it doesnt say warming up either?looked at bullentins didnt see anything.I mean its brand new.?Comment

What time do you have the preheat set? It was my understanding that the fuser would cycle every few minutes to prevent flat spots. If you set preheat to 1 minute, the fuser rollers will separate and the cycling should stop. (or I could be totally wrong, wouldn't be the first time
)
