    HARD DISK FAIL

    HELOO EVERYBODY
    Ihave AR-620 it gives me E7-03 hard disk fail
    i pull it out it is a normal IDE hard disk of capacity 40GB i got another one from COMPUTER STORE how i can prepare it to work in the machine???
    CAN ANYONE HELP.

    If you are sure you have a faulty HDD, just replace it. Nothing special to be done beforehand, it will set itself up once installed. Just match the Master/Slave jumper settings from the old drive to the new drive.
    Have you checked the HDD read/write function to confirm a dead HDD. Sometimes on the Sharp machines, just a power reset will clear the HDD error and you may never see it again.
    Before you change the HDD, just confirm that the DC Power supply CN2 Pin 8 is OK, with no loose wire. E7-03 can be caused by this as well.
