    MX-5000

    hi all
    have a mx-5000 which has started to flip the cleaning blade on the black drum .change the drum & blade
    2 weeks ago ,but the blade flipped again today removed unit stripped down & everthing seems fine apart from blade. not sure what going on with this ,have now ordered complete unit , wondering if this may be a
    toner problem. any thoughts thank for any replys

    Blade flipping

    Try using an excessive amount of setting powder on the drum & blade. I believe there is a tech bulletin on this issue.

      Its really important that you only use Stearic Acid (UKOG-0312FCZZ) on the new MX series drum surface.
      If you use Kynar powder (UKOG-0123FCZZ) or Titanium Hydroxide (UKOG-0322FCZZ), the drum driving torque may be up to twice as high as Stearic Acid, therefore causing blade flip.

      See the attached list of powders for Sharp machines. Incorrect use can cause problems.
