MX-5001 PDF File size help

I have two MX-5001 that sit side by side, same company, same network, same compression settings, same firmware, machine options the same with the exception of one having PS activated the other does not. If I scan to email a small text doc, one will make it 250Kb and the other will be 3Meg, huge!
I have compared like for like settings one vs the other, Its the same. 22-6 shows almost identical settings except for some exposure values and toner values.
What gives?

It sounds like one is in color and one is monochrome? Maybe?

When scanning I"m pressing the blk button. All setting on both appear to be set the same way.
I know these machines well, and also know the variables between mono, greyscale and color.

Sorry must have had a brain freeze there!!!!! Does the PS enabled machine have the smaller file size? And what are the file sizes if you use the tiff setting?

After spending 3.5 hours, I pulled the keyboard out and manually keyed in the email address, low and behold a small file size.
Now remember boys and girls, saved web based address and configurations dominate over panel settings, I feel like an Idiot!
Their IT guru's changes all inputted Email address's in the book to "none" on compression instead of G4. why, who knows!
Their other machine does not have anything in the address book.

Well at least you figured it out, wrote a huge bill to the IT department and gave every body a good tip
