    yeah saw that one too, just curiosity, with things like the ignore rev count (please let me do this on 3501 and 4501's (for any Sharp corp guys reading)) the toner remaining, envelop pressure (havent had to use yet), it just be better knowing what's there to use. Keep the Secret stuff secret ie counterfeit protect.

      Ok, so far nothing i'm waiting for customer accept the repairing ofer.
      In the mean while i recived firmware files and i succesfuly upgraded it to my MX-2600 file name is: PST2_MAINsEFS_091118a.
      I want to try upgrading the other 2 that i'm using but looks complicated.... they are ARM-450 and 451...

        Hi, you can add these SW too:

        - Sim 55-1 SW No: 9 DATA: 8
        0 (default): Time of maintenance displayed when consumables reach copy quantity/rotations.
        1: Time of maintenance displayed when consumables reach copy quantity ONLY.

        - Sim 55-3 SW No: 22 DATA: 7
        0 (default): Normal LCD character.
        1: Bold LCD character.

        - Sim 55-3 SW No: 22 DATA: 5
        0 (default): Don't display remainig toner quantity.
        1: Display remainig toner quantity.

          Thanks for the update wtroll.

          The last 2 of your SW changes are already in the list I posted (it just doesnt say the number 55-3 where it should in the column). Thats cool.

          I actually asked the workshop guys a few weeks ago about the SW to stop rotation count maintenance. I know a few machines I will be applying that change to ASAP! Thank you.


          Nachoman.... I just went through this post. You asked if the maintenance 55-03 SW9, bit 5 change works on the MX3501, 4501. Yes it works on all MX machines, regardless of the series. We have been changing that SW from runup's for years now, so we never got bitten by that problem.
