Sharp MX-2700 and MX-4501 washed out colors

I have a MX-2700 and a MX-4501 that the colors are washed out, splotchy kind of like old developer. On both machines i have replaced drum, dev, primary transfer belt did all necessary adjustment reset necessary counters preformed calibration. No changes. the MX-4501 i sold and did the initial setup on and was working fine then but problem started after first PM. The MX-2700 I just picked up service on so i don't know the history. Any ideas would be helpful.

Make sure your image density senors are clean and run 44-13 with the jig to recalibrate them. We had a 6200 with extreamly poor solids. We took the sensors out and cleaned them and recalibrated. Solids were perfect after that. Also run your 46-24.

If your getting "waves" in your solids were they get light and then dark running to the page corners make sure your drums are not worn. When the OPC layer peals off they suck DV out and dump it into the waste toner tank via the transfer belt.
Evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

Did you do all of the stuff listed in the calabration tech section on sharpnet? there are steps in that document to correct if the colors arent right. what do your SIM64 print outs look like? are you sure its the copier and not scanner related?

Yes i did use the tech bulletin to perform the calibration. My 64 test prints were washed out as well, but after cleaning the image density sensor all worked good.
