Sharp AR-C172m can be refilled with compatible toner?

Someone told me that the Sharp AR-C172m cartridge can be refilled with compatible black & color toner?
I can reset the chip.

Toner is not just toner. I have never had much faith in 3rd party toners especially for a color machine. As long as the toner does not leak out or dust into the machine i guess the worst case would be poor quaility and a waste of money if it does not work out.

I work on alot of Sharp color copiers and a few Canons, and I cant think of a time where the compatible toner produced the same quiality as genuine toner did. I personally dont think its fair to do that to someone who paid the permium money to own a color copier. I believe in producing the best a machine can at anytime in its life so I would say save yourself the trouble of repeatedly serviceing it and refilling, and pissing off your customers and just put whats supposed to be in the machine. That machine is getting pretty old so an upgrade may be in the near future. Im sure youd rather sell them a new machine and keep a customer at some point then save a few bucks and lose em. just my opinion.
