Strange issue

Hey all,
We've got a customer with a MXC401 who uses a mix of PC's and Macs.My question is this.When the print a black and white document from a Mac with the driver and machine set to auto color it counts the print as a color print rathewr than a black and white.I have upgraded the firmware to the latest and greatest,but still it persists.Any ideas???? Well other than setting default to B&W.

This is actually a common issue on any MX color machine.

Change the 'Neutral Grey' setting within the print driver to Black only. Set that as the new default. Its normally defaulted to a setting halfway between Black only & Color.
Its in the Advanced Color section, in the Color tab of the printing preferences.

However, another thing you need to know, is that if the document in question is using an 8bit RGB imported image (either JPG or TIFF), then CMYK must be used, and the machine counts the page as color no matter what.
