    MX6101N Firmware update

    I'm setting up a new mx6201n. When I checked the firmware, I saw it was out of date. Downloaded the new file and when I try to install it I get the message that the model doesn't match. I really don't know where to go from here. Any help out there? Thanks
    I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.

      Any chance of there being Data Security Kit installed? If so it uses different firmware . Is the version you tried VNS_MAINpEFS_100504a as that is latest for Venus model. For Data Kit enabled machines it is using VNS_DSKsEFS_091130a

                  Although you've probably already sorted this out by now, just make sure you get the right DSK firmware. The Venus series takes 2 different DSK options FRX3 & FRX9, as well as the common criteria & commercial version. Each is different.

                  The Venus series is a great box. I look after a large fleet of these (more every day due to C-Dragon changeovers) and everyone loves them.
