Sharp al1600 e7-05 error

this is a ccd black level abnormal error. anybody have an idea where to start? turn it on and scanner moves to home then error code pops up and unit shuts down. we've checked the cables and anything else we can think of. we dont have another ccd to pop in it. cant find much at all on the web about this machine. any ideas?

You can try cleaning the white strip, and darkening the black line on the end with a sharpie. Most of the time this requires a new CCD.
